Journalist Creates'Rubble Bucket Challenge' To Raise Awareness About Gaza
A Palestinian journalist created his own take on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge by dumping a bucket of sand, rocks and debris onto his head on Saturday in an effort to bring awareness to the plight of Palestinians in Gaza.
In his video of the challenge, Ayman al Aloul, who is based in Gaza, said that water is too valuable to waste and too difficult to freeze, so he used what was readily available: shrapnel, rocks, sand, and other debris.
A Facebook page has also been created where supporters of the challenge can join the campaign and post their own Rubble Bucket Challenge videos.
