President Obama and Hillary Clinton to headline event

Hillary Clinton will headline two events for the Democratic National Committee next month, including one with President Barack Obama and another with party chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, according to invitations obtained by POLITICO. She’ll then appear with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco on Oct. 20 at an event to benefit the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

The first DNC event, the party’s Women’s Leadership Forum, is being held at the Marriott Marquis in Washington on Sept. 18-19. Obama will also be there. A welcome reception is set to be hosted by first lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden, Vice President Joe Biden’s wife. Gloria Steinem is expected at the Friday night dinner and conference speakers include high-profile female Democrats like Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, Center for American Progress President Neera Tanden and EMILY’s List President Stephanie Schriock, along with Wasserman Schultz.

The second DNC event is Sept. 19 in New York City, at Acme restaurant in lower Manhattan. Tribeca Film Festival honcho Jane Rosenthal is listed as one of the hosts, with Clinton and Wasserman Schultz as the headliners.
