Chuck Todd - ready set...

Chuck Todd has spent a good amount of time getting "in shape" for his new stint on Meet the Press.

Lost an obvious amount of weight - looks toned - comb over a good color - beard well groomed and color matches comb over - well tailored suits - but it's not enough.

I predict that he will end up a close second to David Gregory in the empty suit category.

Because Chuck Todd has ego the size of a 747 - he does not understand that the moderator must have an engaging personality, but not so much that it over shadows the entire program. His droning style (no pun) will not work, there will not be an energy and pulse to the interviews and discussions - thereby falling flat.

How long will he last?

I do not see a non-corporate media type ever being the host. While I really like Keith, Ninga Aug 2014 #2

They need genuine journalists not talking head personalities who will question hard and dig deep. The program now should be called Meet the Shills

I like the suggestion from another DU member the person they need is Keith Oberman as host, plus tough journalist from real left and moderate right to save the show

personality is such that it will over power any other person within 50 feet.

I think Dr. Rachel Maddow could be the one who could really succeed.
