I have been a bit despondent that McConnell will win again and we'll be stuck with that f*cker for another 6 years. This gives me a ray of hope. Grimes would be great. I like her a lot.

but was disappointed with her interview on Lawrence show because she appeared to respond to every question with a 'bit' from her stump speech. This is good because she doesn't misspeak, but she wasn't very responsive. She surely has that speech down pat! (distinguish this from Hillary!)

and her father is Jerry Lundergan, a former Kentucky Democratic chairman and state representative.[1] Grimes was the third of five children, all girls. As a child, Grimes knocked on doors on behalf of her father's political campaigns, and also drove voters to the polls on election day.

Do you get the feeling that her messaging is a bit over rehearsed is because she's nervous?

she may have decided to use her pre-packaged speech so as NOT to misspeak and be caught up trying to undo an error, a strategy.
