(48,121 posts)And that gun figure can't be right. Millions own guns and all gun owners are forced to kill others by their guns (it's a reflex action I hear, it shrinks a man's penis and makes a woman's breast smaller as well).
Why just yesterday my dad (who has a CCW because the only laws he would ever break are killing others and discharging a fire arm in the city - I mean, the guy has some ethics ya know) was running around the streets hootin and hollerin' waving his gun aiming it at all the cars passing by. It's like being a vampire, you just get that 'thirst'.
I set up some targets that looked like people and he shot em up real nice, got his fix (made em look muslim because being muslim makes you a terrorist just like owning a gun makes you a dangerous person who is eventually going to do some terrorism too, I dun learnt them things from my friends in political parties).
It's a nice graphic an all, I shared it on FB. I also sold my gun from when I used to do security and don't own one now, but my penis still has not recovered (damn guns need a warning label, in several languages, including hill billy).
Now I am gonna go take my meds, have a smoke, and drink a beer and hope to God some damned snake or spider don't bite my ass and kill me up real good. May have to git me a gun again just in case one of them poison spitting snakes shows up here in the hollers of Ohio.

(23,973 posts)If gunowners play around with loaded weapons instead of using them correctly, they become statistics, too, or a friend or family member does.
You read about it all the time.
The same way that people who abuse prescription drugs tend to become statistics.

(36,649 posts)People SHOULD fear gun violence. Because too many gun owners seek to use the power to kill inappropriately.

I'm getting weary of our institutions playing fear on all of us, instead of paving the way for greater life, liberty and happiness pursuits.
For example, I'm a baby boomer and grew up during the cold war. I was trained as a first grader to survive a nuclear attack (the ole' duck and cover bullshit)
Mr. Gorbachev tore down that wall and whoopie, the threat of destroying every living thing on the planet has gone away.
BULLSHIT - now we got world leaders actively suggesting nuclear war as a means to solve the "Iran problem".
They talk like it's just another tool in their "diplomacy" arsenal when it's really something that should never ever be used again on this planet! They seem just too plain stupid to comprehend the misery and death such actions would cause.
All they do is give us shit to worry about. And we elected them!
Fuckers!

(2,088 posts)Seems like our instincts are not up to date on the actual threats to our lives. Quite understandable considering the timescales on which evolution takes place.
