What am I missing???? (I'm a little addled (is that the word?) from celebrating KObaCH getting his ass kicked by the Kansas Supreme Court)

(7,650 posts)thought of it later. Part of the problem is that when I see him on CNN I immediately turn away; you'd think I'd have had the same reaction, but there it is.
Thanks for the great post, BTW!!!

Well, at least they found the country they were reporting on and had a person that could "translate" those horrid figures from metres to feet (and meters to "English" LMAO!

(39,961 posts)a few days ago. B2G posted a line "Ebola is worse than we thought, it is moving countries."
Another classic was Thailand being located off of the western coast of Africa.
I'm pretty sure CNN thinks *South Africa* is somewhere next to Rwanda since I saw a graphic posting it there.
Next we will see Lisbon, Portugal positioned as an island off of Greece.

(39,961 posts)Sadly, that is only ONE of their geographical screw-up. If they can't buy a map, they can afford an intern to take two minutes to look up something on Wikipedia. I realize it isn't rigorously peer-reviewed but most people know where their damn country is if they can state their currency, HID Index and border states.

(39,961 posts)I haven't seen such a gaggle of foolishness since I looked for Arkansas to border Nebraska.

(12,799 posts)What value has Ar, in the larger scheme of things? Without that it would be Kansas, and there it is, right next to Nebraska. It's a Zen thing.

(39,961 posts)They have a history of moving countries around. Last I checked Nigeria was in the middle of Africa and I won't even speculate on where exactly the graphic showed where SOUTH AFRICA was. I'm pretty sure it's not in the middle of the continent.
