...who could possible imagine Christie running under any circumstances? He'd need car service to the front door.

...I wouldn't post a joke about Christie's weight just for the sake of it. Even though the punchline of the joke depends on his weight for its delivery, it's more about Christie's priorities and personality...to me anyway...than anything else. He's an obese guy, that's for sure...and I would never condone ridiculing someone for that...but Christie's also a major prick. He's deliberately cultivated this sort of "kiss my ass, shoot from the hip, gangster" veneer of bravado. Freepers enjoyed that in George W. Bush, and especially Dick Cheney. I'm guessing it's the primary reason why they keep throwing his name into the veep-stakes.
