President Obama supporting womens rights: it shouldnt make me cry, but it does.
Even though I dont identify as one, I was born female, and I need health carehe supports that. He doesnt agree with how a womans body has become a political platform, and I dont know how I can tell you how much that means to me. A womans bodyhell, a mans bodyis nobodys business but their own.
This has become something for politicians to debate, and knowing that Obama doesnt agree with that gives me hope. And Im not just saying that because I was born female. Im saying this as a human. Out of anyone running this year, Obama is the one who cares for human rights.
That should tell you something. That should tell you a lot. And I hope when November comes, this should tell you enough.

(62,270 posts)They support him because he does right, they don't have the same view, necessarily, as the privileged have.

(45,319 posts)people of any gender, as he says our equality is an affront to Sanctity, that's it, Sanctity. No equality for 'those people' for God in In the Mix.
So sick of the attempts to smokescreen the truth.

(85,996 posts). . . including 'equality'. He's never said 'those people'. I think exaggerations and mis-characterizations like the ones you've made may actually only serve to obscure and obstruct the good he's done and is still working to achieve. It would be better and more directing if you were honest.

(29,047 posts)Even Kucinich would probably piss me off from time to time if he were President, but I guess that is the fun of politics.

(146,308 posts)I just hope we can give him a Congress that will work with him on those human rights goals. If we can, we'll see some great things. If we can't, we'll see more of the same obstructionism from the GOP.
GOTV!
