No charges for Georgia officers who maimed toddler during no-knock drug raid

This really makes me angry. No charges, no compensation for the child's injuries, and that baby will need continued surgeries for many years to come. No responsibility. No weapons found at site during raid either.

A grand jury in Georgia declined to indict the law enforcement officers involved in a botched drug raid that left a toddler disfigured and badly injured.

A SWAT officer tossed a flash grenade May 28 into a playpen where 19-month-old Bounkham “Bou Bou” Phonesavanh was sleeping during a no-knock raid overseen by the Habersham County Special Response Team.

The toddler’s nose was detached from his face, and the blast ripped a hole in his chest and caused serious burns.

The county has said it would not pay for the child’s medical bills, arguing that the board of commissioners was not legally permitted to pay for them.

which allow for the usage of lethal force against law enforcement under these strict circumstances.

Perhaps it is time to enact them into national law.

Did anyone here actually believe that a white cop was going to be brought up on charges that involved a non-white family/child?

A judge in Detroit just did the same thing, dismissed a charge of involuntary manslaughter against a cop who killed a little girl(black) during a raid on her grandmother's home!

So, now we know that a cop can kill a child and get away with it...at least in the case in Detroit!
