In this case they were extra careful since the man had been to the apt. where Mr Duncan was staying. As it turns out all is fine and the man will be able to go home to his family now.

I love a happy ending.

Sounds as if he could have driven himself to the ER, which would have been a lot safer for others if in fact he did have Ebola. It also sounds as if the symptoms were fairly mild - stomach ache, slight fever - again, drive yourself. One of the first rules in first aid is that the patient does as much as possible for themselves as long as it is safe, of course. If he is light headed maybe it is a different story.

I think he will get made fun of by his coworkers for long enough to feel embarrassed. I take cabs to hospitals. That way I don't have to worry about my car.

the care facility he went to did.

He wasn't being a drama queen, he did what he should have. You would be singing a different tune had he tested positive.

they heard his complaints, then learned that he had been in the apartment where Duncan had stayed. They decided to send him to the hospital for testing/isolation to be on the safe side and called an ambulance to do it.

Given his involvement in the Duncan case, it seems like he should have called that hospital or the TX Health dept and let them decide what to do next.

I feel pretty confident he's also going to be so relieved that he's going to take it with a huge smile.

Hey, at least his butt was covered when they were parading him around in that disposable gown on TV.

I don't know if it actually works, but a bad batch will make you wish you still had the hangover instead.

I grew up eating menudo on Sundays. Not for the hangover cure, but because many of my friends mom's made it and I always ended up with a bowl of it in front of me somehow. Most times, it was fine, but a couple of times...wow!

I suppose if you eat bad menudo it'll make you forget you have a hangover, so either way you'd be cured.

The town I grew up in was about 50% Hispanic. I ate everything, starting from early childhood. My mother also grew up in a heavily Hispanic town in Arizona. She makes absolutely the best tamales I've ever eaten. From a recipe of an old next door neighbor when she was a kid.

Uff da! Now I live in Minnesota. Fortunately, St. Paul, my city has a Cesar Chavez Boulevard and an authentic Mexican market. In fact, I think I'm going to make a gross of tamales sometime around Christmas and invite all my wife's relatives over for a traditional Mexican Christmas Eve tamale feed. I'll tone them down a little to suit their Scandihoovian tastebuds, but not much.

This is becoming a stupid panic and the media should be ashamed.

No one has been at all concerning anything about Ebola, but some people sure like to complain that it's happening when it isn't.

If you want to observe people here running about with their hair on fire check out any thread that has anything to do with police.
