Whistleblower Reveals California Cops Get ‘Shooting Tattoos’ To Celebrate Their Kills

Early frontrunners for this week's Darren Wilson Award.

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2014/10/12/whistleblower-reveals-california-cops-getting-gang-tattoos-to-celebrate-shooting-victims/

It’s bad enough when cops shoot to kill first and ask questions later, as often happens these days. But do they have to brag about it?

The Free Thought Project reports a whistleblower cop came forward about a peculiar practice among his former coworkers in the Oxnard, CA police department. They tattoo guns on their shoulders, and then get a smaller insignia to celebrate each person they murder — kind of like the gang members tattoo rival gang signs for each rival gang member they kill.

The whistleblower cop is currently talking with private investigators, but originally brought his concerns to American Justice Notebook, an independent media group.

The former Oxnard police officer told American Justice Notebook that officers who have been involved in shootings, regardless of circumstances, will many times get a tattoo of a gun on their left shoulder. With each victim that the officer kills, a puff of gun smoke would allegedly be added to the tattoo. The gun smoke in the tattoos are reportedly shaped like a skull and cross bones.

Cops need to get back to helping their communities, not starting riots.

gangbangers with badges.

They are not your friend. You do not automatically go to them for help. They will treat you, the victim, like you are the guilty one. They will make no effort to investigate your complaint.

me in the least. Mean, vicious people wearing a badge and using it to murder. That's a real picture of amerikkka. Of course not all are like this, the whistle blower gives me hope. Good luck to that person.

When I was stationed in the area in the latter half of last century, Oxnard PD had a reputation for violence and escalation, even during simple traffic stops; and being at the intersection of the 101 and 1 going north up the coast, they supported the city off the speed traps to catch tourists and other travelers. As for the military there were not exempt - didn't matter, The PD profile anyone darker than a paper bag for random stops and public safety "checks" and hung out just outside of military housing to hassle sailors or airmen going home or leaving for work.
Whole town was (at the time) surrounded by strawberry fields and orchards and long dark stretches of major road out in the middle of nowhere; it was well known that there were unmarked graves of transients and share-croppers who had been "uppity" to either the gangs, the ranchers, or the PD. You tried to avoid driving out of the city proper after dark. Along the 101 was fairly safe, but going to LA you wanted to take the 1 to Santa Monica and miss the Valley traffic, and that was where the worst of it was.

When my family would go down to LA to visit relatives from the Bay Area, the habit was to make the second to the last rest stop in Ventura, then get through Oxnard as fast as possible down to the 1 and not stop 'till we hit Malibu if we had to. And only travel during the day.
