Email carpet bombing....where's my cyber bomb shelter?

I already am up to almost 20 emails at 4pm today from various democratic organizations. Yesterday it topped out at 26, that was a low count day, with the first one arriving at 7:06am. This morning it started at 7:30.

I've received hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of emails over the last several weeks from everyone that claims to be involved with Democratic politics begging for money, the President, Michelle, you name the Senators and Representatives that have "personally" emailed me asking for just five bucks. Add to that all the different organizations I've never heard of claiming to be some sort of pro Democratic group. Five dollars, that's all we're asking for, five dollars. Help us get over the top. Top of what? Get a chance to have lunch or dinner with the president! Have a chance to have your photo taken with the pres while eating a spaghetti dinner....really. I donated once and after that it's like they took my address and gave it, or sold it, to every Democratic leaning group in DC.

It really is ridiculous. So ridiculous Jon Stewart had a bit about it on his show. Man...everyone has their fist out. So here's mine, send $5.00 to me and I will not email you to donate $5.00 to me. Thank you.

Usually there is a link at the bottom of the email that asks if you want to unsubscribe from their emails. A few months ago I became fed up with all these emails and I started unsubscribing to them. Now I don't receive any.

By visiting sites like DU, Crooks and Liars, Mother Jones and a few others I still stay pretty well informed.

I'll try that. Usually in the past when I've tried that with other websites it hasn't worked. I'll give it a go.

It may take a couple of weeks for some of the emails to end. Just be persistent and soon your emails will be back under control.
