Please donate to help fight Ebola in Africa

Despite all the mistakes that have been made at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, this disease will almost certainly not cause a major outbreak in the U.S., since patients seem to be infectious only when they get very sick. Instead of going on about the two people who have contracted the disease in the U.S., it makes much more sense to worry about the thousands of people who are dying in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea.

After watching this video:
Fighting Ebola, Street by Street
I decided to donate to Doctors Without Borders. Please give what you can. Here are several organizations working to stop this disease at its source:

Heartbreaking video, but one that should be watched. You won't see this on CNN or the like.

I also scan news reports for other aid organizations that have recently established new field hospitals in Sierra Leone and Liberia and put these organizations on my donation list.

I always check Charity Navigator before donating to any organization. I've been doing so ever since I found out that many of the organizations with humanitarian-sounding names in fact keep most of the money they get for themselves. I had always found the Doctors Without Borders mailings annoying, but today, I looked at this:
Charity Navigator Rating for Doctors Without Borders
and was amazed that their top executive made $142,015 in 2012. That's very low considering most non-profits pay their CEOs four times as much, even when their revenues are the same or smaller.
