Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell Vows to Continue Defending State's Unconstitutional Gay Marriage Ban

Parnell Responding to yesterday's federal court ruling overturning the state's gay marriage ban, Alaska Governor Sean Parnell released a statement vowing to appeal the decision.
Said Parnell:
"As Alaska’s governor, I have a duty to defend and uphold the law and the Alaska Constitution. Although the district court today may have been bound by the recent Ninth Circuit panel opinion, the status of that opinion and the law in general in this area is in flux. I will defend our constitution.”
Parnell and the Alaska Legislature were oh so worried about the perversion of people who love each other getting married,
That they failed to notice all of the red flags and reports of sexual assualts by recruiters going into high schools, rapes in their recruiting offices, raping of a 19 year old drunk girl in the company motorhome and the list goes on and on.

For more than 4 years Parnell looked the other way even though he started a 'choose respect' campaign to stop domestic abuse, assaults etc.
Not only does it look bad for Parnell, but Sullivan as well (who pundits keep telling us has it all but won already)
Shannyn Moore’s column Sunday, Oct. 12, about Gov. Parnell’s lack of positive response to the National Guard issues was spot on. One question that hasn’t been addressed, however, is candidate for the U.S. Senate Dan Sullivan’s involvement in the issue. As attorney general, the top of the law enforcement chain, shouldn’t he have made sure the issues were addressed properly?
In addition, he likes to remind us that he is a member of the U.S. Marines. As a Marine, one of the few, the proud, the good and the brave, wouldn’t you expect him to do what was right?

The day before Parnell met with National Guard chaplains who were sounding alarms about problems with sexual assault and fraud in the Alaska Guard, he and Sullivan talked by phone. As the state’s top law enforcement officer, Dan Sullivan did nothing to investigate the scandal. Why did Alaska women get nothing more than lip service and empty promises from Dan Sullivan? An independent federal investigation exposed years of assault, fraud and corruption. Sullivan has still said and done nothing since the scathing investigative report was made public
