http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/10/former-kentucky-prison-guard-avoids-jail-for-25-counts-of-sexually-abusing-women-inmates/In 2011, the Kentucky State Police arrested Officer Sergeant James B. Johnson, and charged him with 25 counts of sexual abuse, trafficking controlled substances, and 50 counts of official misconduct.
An investigation by the State Police determined that Johnson had been supplying drugs and sexually abusing inmates at Kentucky Correctional Institution for Women in Peewee Valley.
On Monday, the 54-year-old former prison guard accepted a plea deal that required him to attend a diversion program. He also was sentenced to seven years of probation.

(11,856 posts)He wasn't charged with rape. He was "exchanging" favors with the inmates. It's illegal and immoral. And it happens everyday in prisons across the country. Doesn't make it right but it's part of the culture.
Had I been the judge I'd have given him some time. Give him a dose of his own nasty brew. But the prosecutor didn't ask, the judge didn't . It's a wrap.
