ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The St. Louis Animal Cruelty Task Force is looking for a person who shot a dog in the back and left it for dead. The animal not only survived, but also overcame being paralyzed and is now helping other people.

Randy Grim called it, “One of the worst animal abuse cases I`ve heard of in the Country and of course it`s sad that it happened here in St. Louis. Grim said the dog was ‘sodomized and then they shot him in the back of the neck and left him paralyzed.’ Yet Grim says the dog ‘represents the bad, but he represents more good than he does bad.”

In May, volunteers at Stray Rescue were determined to show that their love would overcome the evil done to the German Shepherd named Shep.

Grim said, “So many people were a big part of his recovery.”

There are so many instances of cruelty to animals it makes me sick. As a race, how do we dare assume that we have the right to kill, torture, maim or do any other cruel act to animals who share this sad planet with us.

Stories like this, and I know there are millions, make me sick.
So happy for this dog and thankful to all those responsible for his rehabilitation.

He probably shot the dog so he wouldn't get bit while sodomizing him.
I'd sure like to have a (discussion) with the asshole that did this!
