I think it requires a permit though, to purchase any gun (other than pellet guns?) there.

Any knowledgeable Canadians out there who'd like to elaborate, please do jump in to the conversation here

The Harper government has a bill ready to go, it was supposed to be tabled today, increasing the powers of CSIS and letting 'informants' remain anonymous even when someone they informed on has been charged leaving the defense no opportunity to cross examine the informant.

This attack today makes vigilance to maintain our rights even more imperative as the politicians on all parties might well run scared and pass this bill without question.
