and Republican Congress did the last few years and will you vote solidly with them if you are elected?
EVERY day we get corpmedia hacks working diligently to try and corner Dem candidates about Obama's 40% approval and trying to shame them with poll numbers while HIDING the fact that GOP Congress has had approval ratings that are record lows, even hitting 9% at one point. No media mouthpiece is approaching GOP candidates with the same type of questioning. No attempts to SHAME the Republicans with their bottom-dwelling poll numbers and their childish 'obstruction pacts' that they have carried out.
Do GOP candidates approve of GOP's use of government shutdown tactic? Would he vote with McConnell and Boehner?
Do GOP candidates approve of obstruction pact GOP congressional leaders made on the day President's inauguration? Would he vote to support them in their obstruction pact?
Do GOP candidates approve of GOP Congress forcing sequester? Would he vote with McConnell and Beohner?
Do GOP candidates approve of GOP Congress blocking immigration reform vote? Would he support McConnell and Boehner?
Do GOP candidates approve of GOP Congress blocking minimum wage vote? Would he support McConnell and Boehner's decision to obstruct minimum wage vote?
EVERY DAY the corporate media runs with the Republican narrative and REFUSES to display even a shred of balance in their questioning of the candidates.
DU: Demand via network emails, Facebook and Twitter that news media show fairness by asking these questions of GOP candidates - ON CAMERA. My hunch is that they will refuse because their network bosses want to protect the Republican narrative.
If you have a profile at Kos and other forums, please use this to demand these questions be asked.

For criminal and mental background checks for all gun sales or against?
For raising the minimum wage or against?
For addressing climate change or repeatedly denying it to humor the dumbest voters in your base?
You want me to choose voting with McConnell's obstruction of progress over President Obama and Democratic efforts to right the wrongs of the Bush years? Are you serious?

(39,370 posts)This is a long-term problem, flatfooted and mealy-mouthed Democrats and the pearl-clutchers who advise them.

(31,849 posts)Holding a presser/releasing a statement saying, "If the electorate see fit to provide me with a Senate ... My legislative calendar will call for votes on Immigration reform, raising the minimum wage, paycheck fairness, student debt reform ... will have the bils; give me the votes."
Followed by Preident Obama's off the cuff reply, "I heard Harry the other day. I will sign these bills the day they reach my desk ... I told him if the people would just give use an FDR House and Senate, we could deliver FDR results ... "

Proud Liberal Dem
(24,412 posts)it makes me sick that, once again, the Republicans might well skate to another midterm electoral victory aided by our poor excuse for a media in this country and we're all potentially going to have to suffer through the next two years with a Republican-controlled Senate and their shenanigans. TPM had a story up last night about how Republicans are suddenly more trusted on all but two issues and that likely voters actually want Republicans to control Congress. WHAT exactly do likely voters think that they'll be getting with a completely Republican-controlled Congress? It's just madness. Total madness. Some people not have enough misery in their lives?

(113,052 posts)by now. Their policies certainly would NOT get majority of support of voters....EVER.
Chathamization
(1,638 posts)not telling the public the report said other groups were targeted as well, and when the targeting of liberal groups is brought up weeks later, it gets mentioned in a small blurb of the back page. When Republicans shutdown the government, headlines say that both sides blame each other for the government shutdown. Then we have 24/7 coverage of how Obamacare is failing for two solid months. When, in the end, it turned out that it was working? Silence. In May, we were supposedly in the midst of an immigrant children crisis that was a failure on Obamas part. It popped up out of nowhere, people started yelling how could he let this happen?! and then after a few weeks it disappeared.
As Chuck Todd said, they just report whatever propaganda the GOP gives them, and they have no interest in determining whether or not its a lie.

Proud Liberal Dem
(24,412 posts)but the corpmedia helps obscure their role in obstructionism and help perpetuate phony Democratic "scandals" and bury everybody in a blizzard of lies, innuendos, BS, etc.

(17,505 posts)If only the FCC rules were actually enforced and there were no exemptions. If only the FCC did its job. That might help a little.
Break 'em up...like they did Ma Bell.
