Plainclothes NYPD Cop Mistakenly Kicks Fellow Officer In Head

A video surfaced Thursday showing an undercover New York City police officer kicking a fellow officer in the head, apparently mistaking him for a suspect.

~snip~

The suspect appeared in to physically struggle as they tackled him to the ground and attempted to cuff his hands.

The plainclothes officer appeared to mistake one of his fellow officers on the floor for the suspect and kicked him in the head. A loud thump is heard on the tape.

~snip~

The officer appeared to have realized his mistake soon after. He rubbed the head of his colleague and then grabbed hold of the suspect and punched him.

The officer was forced to turn in his badge and gun and is being investigated by Internal Affairs.

I wonder what would have happened if he had kicked the suspect instead. Promotion?

If done enough times than yea - promotion time for doing such a stellar job.

Nothing at all, if the only witness is the one in handcuffs.

The sword of justice is pretty damned quick when it's one of their own, isn't it?

Could be a way of making a few bucks in the subway?

he'd have to shoot him X15 to earn the promotion, after his reward of Leave W/Pay, o/c.

This cop is lucky he didn't have Skittles and Arizona Tea in his hands. He'd be dead.

better be glad he's not dead with all these psychopaths around him. Is it me or do I sense racism at play here in that kick. That cop who had to turn in his badge and gun will be back on duty soon. I will be checking. It's funny how they all melted away at the end. THIS IS amerikkka, 2014. NYC cops too!!!!! They choke people to death just for selling unlicensed(for the purist here) cigarettes, so this is NO surprise. I'm disgusted with this land of the free, home of the brave. LOL sarcastically.

He intended to kick the guy in the head, and he succeeded. Not an accident or a mistake. Or was he aiming for another part of the fellow human's body perhaps, and instead hit the head?
