Woohoo! Our baby grandson was born shortly after midnight!

His folks and he are fine. It was an honor that my daughter in law asked me to be present to help at birth, I was thrilled to be there! Almost 17 hours, but we all laughed a lot, encouraged her, massaged her back and feet, and when all was said and the baby finally arrived - he lifted his head to look around when they placed him on her chest, just like his daddy did when I had him!
Life is sweet. And there is little sweeter than seeing your children happy.
Life is sweet, remember to cherish the good and try not to focus only on the bad. For me tonight, life is sweet!

That was quite an honor, and you did well! 17 hours is a long time! Was similar for my daughter in July, but only the father and medical personnel attended. The rest of us waited and waited and waited!

I've heard over and over how the best job in the world is being a grandparent. So glad everyone is well. Wishing you all nothing but love and laughter.

It is so wonderful to be a grandparent. And to be able to be there is great! I got to be with my daughter with my first grandchild and saw him emerge into the world. Such a incredible, emotion filled time.

So happy for you and family.
