Faulty Airbags And Rental Agency Cars?.....

Yesterday I went on line and checked both of my cars by entering their VIN numbers. Neither one of my cars is subject to the airbag recall. What I'm concerned about is that I travel a lot for my business. I use rental cars in the process. Does anyone know if the rental car agencies are tending to their fleets and making sure that all the cars that they rent to the public don't have the faulty airbags and if they do - they have taken them in to be corrected?

I don't want to have another travel worry to contend with beyond ebola, terrorism, earthquakes and dealing with the TSA.

so they don't have older fleets. I've always got a car with far less that 20k on the speedo. Now the down side is they do sell them off to used car dealers the older ones.

a rather late-model car at the major rental outlets.

I get my "new car smell" fix by renting vehicles, because I just can't see the value in buying a brand new car, given the few miles I drive every year.

that the leading auto rental companies have procedures in place to quickly identify vehicles that are involved in recalls, and get them promptly into dealerships for repairs. I'm sure that the legal departments of these firms know that the rental company would be held responsible for failing to respond promptly to recalls, where an injury or even an inconvenience would be involved.
