How to handle a heckler

This is the kind of thing Americans should notice: Compare and contrast two different ways of dealing with a heckler.

First, here's Gov. Chris Christie - who prefers the "sit down and shut up" approach.

And now here's President Barack Obama's "That's what America is all about" approach.

Who sounds more like a tyrant?

Christie is a bully boy, loud brash insulting and so ugly, yet that is what the GOP is all about.

Obama, he shows dignity and respect. Yes he throws in a small amount of humor to defuse the situation.

Who would you stand for?

...I saw this on O'Donnell just now and his eyes were real nasty. I thing there is something wrong with this man. Either some personal problem or maybe a news item is coming out soon... something is not quite right. He looked like he would have killed that heckler if he had a gun.

is on the near horizon for the governor, but until then, you are absolutely correct-there is something seriously wrong with this man. He has a real psychological problem that goes well beyond his behavior at this press conference. There is a long sordid body of evidence that he is indeed a sociopath that goes back to his first election. (I've posted the video of the commercial elsewhere where he lies with his wife and baby by his side). His actions as U.S. Attorney, his outbursts, his continual lying, his need to control the Sandy money for his political benefit.... this a dangerous and disturbed man. That's not hyperbole, that's fact. I've been around this guy for a long time and he's more than just a bad person, he's seriously disturbed.

Oh, and the patience of Job. Thanks for this sheshe - the comparison makes Christie look like even more of a jerk, which he can usually pull off all by himself. Can you imagine if this man would ever become our President? Yikes - I can't stop shuddering.

I've always been amazed at President Obama in these types of circumstances. It's like he lets the person blow their wad and then they are done. Christie of course is just a big bully. I'm sure that brings excitement in the loins of all right wingers.

We see it over and over. They are bad people, and the voters who elect them, well, what can you say? Most Republicans I know are fairly mean, not all, but most.

The one thing that Christie doesn't understand... people west of Jersey don't think that's an endearing quality. I can't speak for anywhere but the west coast (if that), but I think think this is true in the middle of the country too. We don't like loud-mouthed bullies. If he thinks that makes him "real", he is mistaken.

... Christie would get it. I wonder what all those DINOs that voted for him think of him now? The protester had a point. Does anyone know if don Christie addressed the protester's question? Where's the rest of the Sandy money? When are the feds going to nail his ass? Right after the election?
I hope that man is in prison where he belongs by 2016!

... last night. Christie got $1.2 billion for Sandy relief, and he's only give out 20% of it ($200 million,) leaving 80% (or around $800 million) in the Sandy coffers! New Jersians are STILL waiting on their Sandy relief and the day before yesterday (the day of the street press conference with the protester) was the 2-yr anniversary of Hurricane Sandy! Where is the $800 million? Does ANYONE trust Christie (or any Republican for that matter) with the people's money? NO!
