Cop Explodes & Threatens a Man With Jail For Saying “God Bless You”

The video picks up with the MacLeod telling the man in a condescending and annoyed tone,

“Have a good day, get outta my face before I decide that this might not be the best judgment that I made.”

Valdes replies, “You have a great day too.”

MacLeod then responds, “Trust me I will.”

Valdes replies back, “God bless you.”

At this point the officer becomes livid and decides to throw around his perceived authority over the citizen and threaten the man him with jail, as he obviously feels disrespected in some way.

Officer MacLeod says,

“You know what, fuck it. I’ll throw your ass in jail. You wanna be a sarcastic bitch, I’ll be fuckin a bigger bitch. You’re fuckin with the wrong dude bro. I’ve been here longer than you’ve fuckin been alive. I’ve put up with more shit than you can ever think of, so if you wanna test me again you’ll be finding Dade County jail real fuckin hunky dory tonight.”

3. Why is it that cops can't seem to keep a civil tongue in their head and always go off

with obscenities. They could avoid lots of trouble if they learned to be polite instead of mouthing off. Most jobs people would be fired immediately for that kind of smart mouthed attitude.

6. First time I was ever stopped suspected of doing something wrong

It was genuine case of "wrong place at wrong time" and was surprised how easily it happened. Meanwhile I'm trying to plead my case they're yelling at me to "shut up" cussing, calling me stupid, etc.

That sort of behavior changed a lot for me in my view and while that attitude may help short term (I don't see how walking into situations with preconceived notions and arrogant certainty they know exactly what it is going helps) that behavior hurts them long term to do their jobs.

9. OK

I leave a friends apartment because she was going to visit her aunts house and would be back in about an hour. I walk straight to the back parking lot since it is quicker to hop the wall to go to my condos. As soon as I'm there I see Daniel pull a car into a parking space he gets out and offers to do something, I can't remember what but I had time to kill. I'll tell you more about Daniel after the story to better explain his personality but he was 15 & I was 17.

On the way out there was a guy in a red shirt visibly upset about something but I didn't make nothing of it. Also since he was wearing basketball shorts with no pockets he asks me to hold "his" pack of cigarettes for him. Along the way we run into someone in our age group with booze in his backpack and offers to go to this other friends' house to drink it there.

Almost on the way there a cop car is shining a spotlight on us, eventually stops us. The line 3 of us on the curb and question as individual. I mention the above minus the booze part. They let the teen go without searching his backpack early on. Suddenly I'm accused of lying and hauled into a police car.

I later learn there is a neighbor who I knew just a little bit due to his friendship with Daniel. Daniel took his cars drove towards the front, backed up into the wall of the apartments and drove away to the part when I run into him. What was problematic is him telling the cops I was with him. The cops asked a good question, "Why would he lie?" I sure as hell didn't know but he did. They also claimed the red shirt guy also said I was with him which I was curious to what specifically was said as he seen my leave the front of the apartments with him but sure as hell didn't see me in the car with him.

Then it gets really interesting, turns out the cigarettes I had on me belonged to the neighbor which he claimed where on his nightstand. Cops tell me Daniel denies the story I gave him so I'm suddenly looking at burglary charges. Then Daniel's grandma is running out there yelling at him but the cops are calming her down "You should be proud of him for telling the truth, unlike (me)" --They wouldn't know truth if it kicked their door in with a warrant.

Eventually, the neighbor decided not to press charges and was issued a ticket for "minor possession of tobacco products" the guy explained he was this || close to pressing charges but didn't give me much of a chance to tell me story as he doesn't "allow liars near his place". About a week or 2 later he did which he confronted Daniel about it which he easily admitted to and the guy offered to speak at my court case which he was a no show for -- he did move out of the complex by the time the date came but it was eventually dismissed for whatever reason.

----------------------------------------------
Daniel caused a lot of headaches in the short time I knew him. He would come over to my house and wouldn't leave, one time he dialed 911 and handed me the phone. I think there were some mental illnesses as he was different from most teens. At any rate, that's the context.

5. I hate hearing those 3 words thrown at me

But not enough to lose control. Especially if I were a cop.

10. That was absolutely unprofessional.

First, I use enough curse words to make a sailor blush but not while working and only when I'm at home. There's a time and a place. Second, that cop is out of control which can be deadly if you're a cop. You're armed to the teeth and all it can take is somebody saying "God bless you" to set him off. He has NO business being a police officer, he doesn't have the temperament and self control needed for the job.

Anyone who has ever worked retail knows EXACTLY what I'm talking about.
