and my kid wanted to create an ISIS costume for Halloween, I would ask him if he knew who they were and what they were about. And I wouldn't permit it.

The parents were watching them. I thought it was a bit tacky. Then you have the parents video taping every single door they ring LOL . The little flock of zombies were hilarious.

This year he's Daryl Dixon and she's a really hideous zombie -- seriously, her mom learned a bunch of great tricks and techniques for liquid latex and created a truly frightening undead mess.

It was tacky, but they were little kids, couldn't be more than 8 or 9. Just because they have stupid parents with no regard for decency doesn't mean I'll mistreat the children.

I have seen kids dressed up like Jeffrey Dahmer before and like Charleton Heston, as head of the NRA, it's Halloween, taste and common sense are not often seen on this night.

I had a green Keffiyeh wrapped around my face. Considering how rainy and cold it was, it was actually quite comfortable. I think most kids thought I was a ninja.

I said "Hey, it's Zorro!" and his mom laughed and said "She called you Zorro!" He had some sort of makeup over his entire face, no mask. Does anyone know what he was? something from a movie?

Zorro has a sword and 'makes the sign of the Z' by cutting your shirt if you're the bad guy.

when I was young there were hundreds of kids in the streets. We'd go out for hours and hours...

I'm wondering if one of my kids is scaring them away so they can keep all the candy for themselves.

A tough motorcycle guy with leather jacket, helmet, and Harley Davidson paraphernalia

Three elegant and sparkling princesses, one of whom had fairy wings

Two raggedy old men

An adult black cat with an infant black cat, both with black noses, whiskers, and tails

An spooky preschool witch with big floppy hat, crepe dress, and candy corn stockings

A gigantic Coke bottle

Something that was striped from head to toe

A pink bunny

She seemed unsure what to think when I told her I love the harry potter books. But I gave her extra candy and she came back later with different people.

I had LOTS of zombies.

Being in Dallas, I was surprised we only had a few medical/hazmat costumes.

it shows that a lot of parents do not understand the issues.
How many of us are a) involved with the fight against ISIS, and b) have a contact with the medical workers involved with Ebola.

The fear has been pushed up, but the understanding is sadly missing.
