Another one of THESE moments! You have no idea how much I'd love to tell the cable news "pundits," and the pollsters, and the opposition research political hit-men, and the grubby little trolls who make their living funneling money from billionaire plutocrats to negative ad producing companies to take their smug predictions of a Republican victory and shove them up their collective ass.
But if the usual 10-20% of Democrats assume the pundits are always right, and voting is futile; and stay in bed with the covers pulled up over their heads, we'll wake up to another one of THESE moments. NO THANK YOU!

(135 posts)Dems will not have 60 votes in the Senate nor will Dems take the house.

That is what we will wake up too.

Unlike in the House, the Senate Majority doesn't need bipartisan approval to launch committee investigations and subpoena witnesses. Let those assclowns take over the Senate, and the circus will really start.

It has always been the people who do not vote who are to blame for the system we live under.

(6,336 posts)And when it comes to control of the Senate, my (newbie) incumbent Democratic senator is safe, but I voted for him anyways (Booker).

(5,955 posts)It's also important to vote. Mainly because, every election the GOP takes the House as a result of the GERRYMANDERING they did in 2010. But the fact that the POPULAR VOTE for Democrats always exceeds the popular vote for Republicans just PROVES they're only clinging to power by CHEATING.
So, it's important to run up that POPULAR VOTE for the Democrats. No vote is wasted, not even a vote for Democrats in Louis Gohmert's district!

(6,336 posts)WRITE SOMEONE IN. Write yourself in, write a celebrity in, write a cartoon character in. Homer Simpson always gets votes in a school board election near me.
I'd rather vote for Homer Simpson (or Mickey Mouse, etc) than a Republican.
