COLUMBUS, Ohio - A technical glitch at the Franklin County early voting center caused long lines and delays Monday morning.
According to the board of elections, a slowdown with the information computers at the early voting center at 1700 Morse Rd. caused a temporary backup in voting.
Elections official Bill Anthony said the problem stemmed from a patch that the Franklin County data center installed Monday morning. The patch caused the system to slow down until they eventually stopped.
The issues delayed the workers' ability to retrieve voter registration data that is loaded into electronic voting machines to ensure voters receive the ballot for their home precinct.
