(3,290 posts)1. I think it rained most of the morning but
stopped early afternoon. It was 53 degrees and cloudy at 3:30.
I live across the river in Illinois and it was a nasty morning.
Is it permissible to give twitter links here?

Michael Brown's parents eg, to encourage people to vote and change the power structure there:
Ferguson holds voter rally ahead of election day
The August shooting death of Michael Brown by police will be on the minds of people in that community as they head to the polls Tuesday.
Brown's parents attended an election eve rally where civil rights leaders said they hope this vote will bring about major change.
Ben Crump, the nationally known civil rights attorney representing the Brown family, urged people to go vote for people they believe would support a law mandating that officers wear body cameras.
"This Michael Brown law that we propose is very simple. It's straightforward. It is video cameras if you have interactions with people. You kill them and you don't have video, there is a presumption that you did something wrong," Crump said.
Many activists support the idea.
"We have a lot of first-time new voters," said Mary Moore, voter.

I really hope they get a huge turnout so that things can begin to change for the better there.
Lots of other pre-election activities also. Now we'll have to wait and see if they were successful.
