In last year's primary he was my third-place choice (and even that was just a tie with the fourth candidate in the race).

I voted for him in the general elections last year and this time, but I would very strongly prefer not to see him on our national ticket.

Booker is still fully on board with the "reach across the aisle" approach that emphasizes getting things done -- what the things are doesn't matter as much.

"We’re going to have to find a way to — on the issues that matter — from immigration reform to corporate tax reform, we’ve got to get some things done," Booker told MSBC after his win. "I’m going down there determined to fight to find common ground and move forward. It’s a shame that a lot of issues that mean a lot to a lot of people are going to be put on the sidelines, whether it’s raising the minimum wage, or some of the other things, or the bedrock issues that help people that are often more disadvantaged in life. I just think it’s going to be harder for us to set that agenda."

(from this story)

I'm glad to see a Democrat announce his determination to fight. As the field on which to struggle, however, "fight to find common ground" isn't exactly what I had in mind.
