Traditionally the rural areas get their ballots in first to be counted. I just (literally, in the last 5 minutes) got an email from a progressive group in Milwaukee reminding everyone that if they were in line by 8:00, the polling place has to stay open long enough for them to vote. So, apparently, there are lines in Milwaukee and the votes aren't ready to be counted yet.

We've got some time to wait and see.

if you don't that is meaningless. If they are from primarily GOP areas then it makes sense. I know that Milwaukee & Madison have not reported in yet.

If you don't know which 2.7% have been counted... you don't know anything about the reality of the race.

BTW, for all of you out there making negative remarks about 'only rural counties in' I do live and vote in one of the few, if only, rural BLUE counties in the state.

Thanks, charmay.

I live in Madison where Dems outnumber Reps 2:1 Hopefully Madison and Milwaukee will have high turnout - thats where the Dem concentrations are.

We have lots of red counties that are the opposite (like 68 out of 70!).

Way too soon to call.

Trust me, this will be a nailbiter decided by less than 100,000 votes.

The rural areas are littered with Walker signs.

It's Madison and Milwaukee that matter.

Professional families are a bit more blue than farmers

If you don't get off the highways and into those subdivisions you don't see that.

I hope Madison and Milwaukee kick Walkers butt.

My youngest goes to Madison. She voted for Burke, so I am hopeful.

So far things seem to be tracking almost exactly with the recall, but no word from Milwaukee or Madison yet.
I do understand that CNN had exit polls with Walker +3, so that is much closer than recall.
To soon to tell.

Craig Gilbert just reported that newly "adjusted" exit polls have Walker winning 52-47.
