Tonight is about as much a worst case scenario as we could've imagined.

Just awful. Democrats are getting their clocks cleaned pretty much coast to coast.

Lots of blame to go around. This was never going to be an easy election year for the Democrats. But there are some curious losses that could be blamed on tepid candidates and not defending the President's legacy - which has allowed Republicans to set the narrative.

Oh well. Here's to 2016.

The only thing that didn't go badly for the Dems, it seems, is NH.

We do well one election, poorly the next. We need to look forward to 2016 and stop freaking out over this. The overall voting trends are moving in our direction.

The only bright spot right now is that NH didn't go Brown and with how the shift is there, I'm surprised it didn't.

I thought Quinn would hold out in Illinois, but I don't think there's enough vote left in Cook County to save him.

Hagan and Nunn's performance also not great.

They are the left wing of the corporate party. Republican or democrat, whoever wins is working for the corporations. The only losers are the rest of us.

Fucking Rick Scott reelected and the best we could manage in opposition was Charlie Crist. No wonder. Many people I talked to split the vote, went third party.

This defeat was well-earned. If dems want to win they had best stop being gop-lite and ditch the corporate money. Wage war on influence. But that isn't going to happen. We elected Obama and what did we get? Excuses on why we can't win. I wanted someone who would wage war on the Republicans. They try to break government? He breaks them. We didn't get it.

Beyond disappointed.

You think all those people who killed us tonight don't like Obama?

She's female and a Clinton (you remember him, the last guy they impeached), she'll bring out the loons even more than tonight.

I'll still vote Dem, but damn it all right now.

And it's not about Obama. Once you run from him, by definition you're playing defense on mainstream Democratic positions and you're not pushing any ideas. The worst thing about these defeats is they serve no purpose.

They launched a war for George W. Bush and his oil but we can't even give Obama a little faith and support. No one has ever had it as hard as this president. With racist obstructionist a-holes sabotaging him and everything he tries to do.

Sometimes I think a group like ISIS could win election here. They are thugs, they hate gay and transpersons, anti women, carry assault weapons. Sometimes this country just makes me so mad.
