We all need to realize it doesn't matter who gets elected. The game is rigged.

The US is wholly owned and operated by an elite group. They prop candidates up in front of us and orchestrate the entire performance, pitting citizens against each other. The specific outcomes don't really change the main workings of the machine, and the country continues to chug along, while that elite group makes a ton of money. We all need to realize we are nothing more than a commodity in a game, to be jerked around and used to benefit the players.

When will we stop agreeing to participate in the game? When will our grand idea of a nation become so destructive it forces us to wake up and do things differently?

(disclaimer: I've been drinking whiskey. I may not agree with this post tomorrow, but tonight, I'm feeling hopeless. Perhaps it's more palatable to think that we really don't have a choice, than admit that the system is sound and it's the people that are the problem)

what the F the democrats stand for anymore. Dems need to, as you say, embrace the old values, move back to the left and work together. IMO, they will get a hell of a lot of respect for that, standing for their convictions than waffling all over the place.

The whole cluelessness thing - how can that get better in the face of undereducation, poverty and propoganda? It will only become easier to hoodwink people.

thrown into these elections, then I thought about the Koch bros. and all the $$ we HEAR ABOUT...What if there's lots of $$ that we DIDN'T hear about that was given directly to "some voters" just to BUY the election? This is ONLY something in my head, but I think it's possible. Why else would voters in what used to be a union state reelect guys like Scott Walker "TIMES IN $ YEARS"?

Why did Bruce Rounder win when everyone KNEW he just wanted to be Governor to put the notch i9n his belt? Something just doesn't feel right.

Realize that far too many Americans are simply unwilling to think for themselves and allow hate and senseless prejudices to determine our Country's Fate which common sense if they had it would alert them to the very real fact that they are shooting themselves and their loved ones in the foot and towards an horrific future ..

if you can make someone afraid, common sense goes out the window. Here in Texas, all Abbott did was talk about how he'd protect us from bad guys coming across the border, and how he'll protect our children. Did he ever say what he would actually do? No. But it didn't matter. He managed to scare enough people into thinking he'd be their protector.

I've never worked in a polling place so I have no idea but at times have wondered if it was ever possible for crooked Republicans during, say, Nixon or Reagan to install their crooked operatives in key local positions where votes are counted and/or "phoned in" to the central tabulator.

The money grubbers were primitive about it, and it all fell apart. Roosevelt was able to make some gains after that with the support of the common people. Ever since then, the greedy assholes have been working to ensure all of that is removed. They have had a long game, and worked patiently to put bad laws in place over decades and erode our power, so that they'll never lose again.

to have money and connections in high places, and are obviously willing to subvert democracy or whatever else it takes to maintain their privileges. I suspect many of them know they'd never get anywhere if they had to make it on their own on a level playing field in the real world--like all those "moochers."
