WA beats the NRA.

WA measure I-591 failed and I-594 passed. We will have background checks for gun shows and online gun purchases. Now just waiting to hear the results on smaller class sizes. It is behind, but close. I can't believe 50% of WA doesn't want smaller classes. That is so insane.

im not expecting to much from this state, just like the GMO thing on the ballot recently that was refused due to a deluge of negative ads by Monsanto.

Voters approve expanded gun background checks

All along, the news reports this summer kept saying that the dumbass 591 was polling evenly with our I-594...what an absolutely pleasant surprise tonight was! Even if the NRA tries to take the matter to court, judges shouldn't be too likely to decide against us voters.

I'm waiting til tomorrow night to bemoan the vote on class size; since it's so close, I still have hope on that one.
