And let's be honest -- the Democratic Party hasn't been worth too much of a damn since then...

And Obama needs to VETO EVERYTHING... not just a few things.. everything.

If they don't.. I will not be supporting the Democratic Party anymore.

but because i'm a better passenger. she likes to be in control, so when she's a passenger, it's an unpleasant experience for both of us. i'm perfectly fine letting someone else driver, so other than very long trips when we have to trade off, she does the driving.

republicans have tapped into this dynamic in spades. it's not that they're better at being in charge, it's just that they're absolutely horrendous when they're not. they make it an unpleasant experience for everyone, and voters give up and put them in charge.

not because republicans make a better majority party, but because they're a horrendous minority party.

they won't do that.
What they will do is hope that the repugs screw up things a little bit and the Dems can get a little power back.....all without shaking up the system.

the 3rd way needs to disappear, permanently. It's a cancer on the Democratic party. Whomever created it new full well what they were doing.

If Harry Reid asked for a 60-vote requirement, just like Mitch asked for, on every piece of Republican crap legislation.

... I thought (or at least hoped) the Republican Party would start moving towards moderation and sanity.

Instead, they moved farther to the right and doubled down on batguano crazy.

It seems to have worked out pretty well for them.
And the Democratic Party, if it "learns" anything from this will be that moving farther right wins elections.
