I like Joe Biden for 2016.

He has the experience, he has the drive, he has good people skills, and his biggest fault is that he tends to speak his mind.

What's not to like?

But then, I supported him in 2008, after Denny Kooch dropped out.

1. His age is a factor

He was born in November 1942, which would make him 74 shortly after the election. Much as I like him too, I have to say this is no small caveat. Yes we have Supreme Court justices who are older, and members of Congress. But those jobs aren't the virtually 24/7 job the presidency is.

And then, when the Supreme Court needs another body, pick Pres. Obama. He will have had a couple of years to recoup from the crap he's had to put up with as President.

he compromised his integrity in being one of the main Senate sponsors of 2005's Bankruptcy Reform. So I don't think I'd trust him to help the middle class regain its financial footing, since he's batting for Big Banks.

Heck, even Warren was a Reep until she was in her 40's. We insist on perfection, and we'll have nobody to rub.

...he can go from being the smartest, and most likeable guy in the room, to the crazy uncle that can't open his mouth without everyone cringing.

Sometimes it only takes one misstep to disqualify a person. Note Howard Dean.

12. Ancient history now, but Biden is one reason why Clarence Thomas (dis)graces SCOTUS. Maybe

it's not fair, I honestly cannot say, but I'll never forgive Biden for allowing Anita Hill to have her character assassinated for telling the truth.

Thomas to get confirmed by not allowing three more female witnesses to testify against him in front of the Senate. He made a backroom deal with the Republicans and we've been stuck with Uncle Thomas ever since. He also is fine with outrageous interest rates on credit cards because he's from Delaware, home of many a credit card company. Sure, it brings in money for his state but it fucks over the rest of us.

get really mad when I remember how Ms. Hill suffered for her act of heroism in coming forward. And I hold Biden personally responsible for a good deal of that. I may not be being fair to Biden, I honestly don't know, but I share your feelings.
