Impeach already!

"Go ahead! I dare you!"

The Democrats should smile and say, "Proceed".

The President knows this is what the Tea Party-driven GOP wants to do. So let them.

They talk a lot of crap about working together and bi-partisanship but they want the President and the Democrats to fold to their every request, otherwise, they will impeach him. That is the threat laid upon the table.

Go ahead Republicans. Go for it!

1. This time they might succeed in removing a Democratic president

and Nixon will be avenged, at last.

However, they'd give us President Biden and he would not be in much of a bargaining mood with Republicans. He would also be nicely placed for a 2016 run.

3. He could be impeached in the House but never convicted in the Senate.

It would take 67 votes to do that.

There are two parts to removing a President.

Clinton was impeached but not convicted.

and we have a few on "our" side, also, some of whom might see a great strategy in removing Obama, replacing him with Biden, and positioning Biden to take advantage of a huge backlash vote in 2016.

I know I won't be making any prediction on the way it will go this time.

There is nothing they have to impeach him over, not even an overheated groupie. It's going to be fun to watch them twist themselves into pretzels trying to find some excuse.

2. I don't guess it is any more of a waste of taxpayers' money

than voting to repeal ACA a zillion times, investigating bogus Benghazi claims, or shutting down the government. One thing the republicans do really, really well is waste our money.

Republicans have 2 years to build a positive image going into the presidential election. They will get stuff done and dare the President to get in the way via veto powers. Bringing up impeachment would be shooting themselves in the foot. I don't see it happening.
