TODD: Senator Flake, House Republican-led Intelligence Committee released a Benghazi report and basically, it's pretty exculpatory. The key findings: no intelligence failure prior to the attacks; security at CIA facilities were sufficient; yes, security at state department facilities were inadequate; and yes, some of the development of the talking points that Susan Rice used were flawed. But no wrongdoing, none of the conspiracies found. Is it time for the Republicans to drop the Benghazi conspiracy theories? [NBC, Meet the Press, 11/23/14]

(14,449 posts)Long ago. It was not interesting when Republicans were voting weekly about it. It is no longer interesting now. I hardly believe a single person discusses it at the dinner table anymore if ever quite frankly.

(56,828 posts)it's about keeping the low information Republican base fired up & angry and ready to turn out in 2016. I don't expect we'll get any stoppage to the investigations any time soon.

(14,173 posts)The guilty verdict on Obama and Rice has already been handed down, digested, and added to the mirage of a mountain that is really a mole hill for Republican voters. With a lot of help from the MSM that hosted hours upon hours of Republican guests screaming about Obama's incompetence with Benghazi, they can't even reserve a few minutes to report on the final findings. This info with silly little things like "facts" is waaaaaaaay too late to change those kinds of programed minds now. Its all going as planned.
