If You See a New Post on DU You Think Should Be Read by Others

please DU Rec it. Posts that appear on the Trending Now list on DU's home page get lots of views, since many people use the home page as their landing page on DU.

Posts listed in the Trending Now list stay there only for about three hours. Normally, it takes 15 or so recommendations during that time from other DUers to get the post in the Trending Now list.

I know a lot of people rarely Rec posts, but when a post is new in GD, whether it sinks or falls often depends on whether it gets early recommendations.

1. I would like to add that I rec OPs on the basis of interest, not just

the ones I agree with.

2. Lots of people do that.

Others rec OPs so they can find them quickly again later. They can see their recommended thread in their profile.

There are lots of reasons to recommend threads.
