Schumer is an asshole. He is blaming the midterm losses on Obama and the ACA.

WASHINGTON — Criticism of President Barack Obama's signature healthcare law by a top Senate Democrat this week laid bare post-election tensions that could pose challenges for the party in upcoming fights with Republicans over taxes, energy and immigration.

In a high-profile speech on Tuesday dissecting Democrats' losses in this month's midterm elections, Charles Schumer, the No. 3 Senate Democrat, listed "a cascade of issues" botched by the White House, starting with Obama's push for healthcare reforms soon after he took office in 2009.

If these other democrats start using Obama as a scape goat, they WILL NOT have my support, and that goes for Hillary also.

Mr. Schumer maybe you haven't looked lately, but the economy is pulling itself out of the disaster from the bush years.

Who need republicans when we have jerks like this in the party

Hillaray. What a piece of work just another Third Way Democrat who didn't get his way on ACA.. This POS is just another water carrier for the 1% ers on Wall Street as well as Met Life Insurance. Think he is pissed because Obama has stopped kissing Israel's ass and with Kerry are pushing for a free Palestine and UN recognition. As far as the Elections, was it not his pal Congressman Israel and the other third way POS Wasserman-Shultz who blew the message. Simple minded payback

Not to mention they are both NY residents, so a civics class may be in order for you.

Israel was Pelosi's choice, but the House was not in play this cycle so not a big point, and DWS serves at the pleasure of the White House, so this line of criticism is a bit bizarre. Regardless, when Schumer ran the DSCC, Senate Democrats enjoyed immense success.

He's beholden to his wealthy friends and contributors, not just by the money but by his being a part of that culture, just as the Teabaggers are beholden to their bigoted friends and supporters as well as their wealthy contributors (Kochs and the like.) Almost nobody is representing those who are struggling financially or those who have strong liberal ideals.

Democrats are basically spineless pieces of wet chickenshit and the Republicans are great with party messaging and dicipline.

The Republicans pounded their message relentlessly against the ACA and the Democrats distanced themselves from the President and the law instead of championing them.

Also, Democrats don't vote in midterms for whatever reason and Obama didn't sell his accomplishments.

This is all by design.

According to a WSJ story,

Unusual as it was to see Mr. Schumer part ways with Mr. Obama on policy, it was even more extraordinary for himto target the Affordable Care Act, a law so tied to the Obama legacy. Democrats, Mr. Schumer said, “blew the opportunity the American people gave them” by focusing “on the wrong problem—health care.” Key provisions of the health law, he said, affected relatively few voters. Instead, the party should have pressed for programs that would have raised wages and helped more of the middle class, he said.

Through a spokesman, Mr. Schumer declined to comment.

More, according to the same story

David Krone, chief of staff to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.), publicly blamed Mr. Obama for Democratic losses. He said the president wouldn’t transfer millions of dollars in party funds to help save imperiled Democrats, and he told the Washington Post that “the president’s approval rating is barely 40%.… What else more is there to say?”

Mr. Reid’s office declined to make Mr. Krone available for an interview.

he's a schmuck! Never liked him and felt he's done a LOT behind the scenes that benefit only him and will stick a knife in ANYONE who disagrees with him! INCLUDING Obama!

The Democratic Party I joined used to show UNITY! Even IF there were squabbles, I felt they tried to work it out BEFORE they started breaking into certain camps and trying to split it apart.

I realize we are diverse, but this crap from Schumer is way too self-serving! And, it only hurts "we the people!" Hillary Lover if there ever was one! I think he's very dangerous!
