Creed Frontman, Says He's Broke, Homeless, and Goes Days Without Food

Scott Stapp, Creed Frontman, Says He's Broke, Homeless, and Goes Days Without Food in Shocking Video

Creed frontman Scott Stapp confessed to fans via Facebook on Wednesday, Nov. 26, that he’s homeless and broke. In a shocking and sad 15-minute-long confessional, the singer claims he’s a victim of “financial theft” and has been left without money for food or housing.

“Right now I’m living in a Holiday Inn, by the grace of God, because there’s been a couple of weeks I had to live in my truck,” Stapp, 41, tells the camera.

Things have been so rough for the “With Arms Wide Open” singer, he claims: “I had no money, not even for gas or food. I went two days without eating because I had no money and ended up in an emergency room.”

So what happened to all his cash?

“About eight weeks ago, I began an audit of not only my record company but my personal finances,” he explains. “During the course of that audit a lot of things were uncovered. A lot of money was stolen from me or royalties not paid.”

That is to say that they were an awful rock band that was hated by most fans of the genre but still managed to get tons of radio airplay and album sales. Like Nickelback they were both extremely popular and extremely unpopular at the same time, a band that was commercially successful but was hated by most music fans.

The article does not even begin to describe how paranoid his video is, contrary to what the article might make you believe he barely talks about being homeless, and when he does bring it up it is not one bit believable. The large majority of the video is him going on a bizarre religious rant about how people are out to get him but he insists they won't stop him from spreading the word of Jesus. He looks like a very guilty man who is trying to hide behind religion to cover up his crime. I don't know what his crime is, but he is clearly a guy who is worried that he is going to be caught in a major scandal and what's to get ahead of it.

His video does not come off as remotely credible, I don't believe he is broke for a second. The video definitely gives the impression that he is desperately trying to hide his money.

The former beauty queen and wife of Creed frontman Scott Stapp filed for divorce recently and supported the petition with text messages she says she received from the singer while he was on an alleged drug binge last month.

She says he disappeared from their home in early October and hasn’t been telling her where he is. The paperwork shows she asserts Stapp has been doing so much amphetamines, crystal meth and steroids that he has become a paranoid shell who has threatened to kill himself and harm his family.

Among the text messages in the file:

▪ “Florida is not safe. Biological weapons on the way. U have to leave with kids and meet me in Atlanta.”

▪ “I’m coming to get you Satan and children. No mercy. You know how this ends. God created you and now God is ending you.”

Was telling me that he and his brother went to go see Creed in concert at the Long Beach Arena and Scott Stapp showed up to the show like 2 hours after it was supposed to start, was completely wasted, and wound up cancelling the show after like 4 songs. He said the audience was going crazy and a near riot broke out. I believe it.

After several discussions and times spent writing songs, many of which addressed themes of Christian theology and spirituality due to Stapp's religious background as the stepson of a Pentecostal minister, the duo held auditions which led to the recruitment of rhythm guitarist Brian Brasher, bassist Brian Marshall, and drummer Scott Phillips to complete the quintet. Originally known as Naked Toddler, the band changed its name to Creed at Marshall's suggestion, after a band Marshall had previously played for called Mattox Creed.[9] By the end of 1995, rhythm guitarist Brian Brasher left the band. Creed then decided to remain as a four-piece band. The four musicians had already written and collaborated on four of the songs that would go on to become tracks on Creed's chart-topping debut album, My Own Prison. The band found local success and began to play shows in bars and small venues throughout Tallahassee. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creed_%28band%29

Creed frontman Scott Stapp Homeless and Penniless…:

If people are wondering why I am extremely skeptical just watch this video and tell me whether you think he has an ounce of credibility. He may scam some Fox News watching right-wing religious fundamentalists over, but he does not look to me like a person who is telling the truth.
