Another of the in laws had to work until 2 PM.

Only one of the reasons we did not drive the 2 hours one way to eat lunch, then turn around and drive back today. (The other reason was that we were not told they were having a dinner today until Monday evening - with my turkey already thawing, all the other fixings purchased and preparation well under way for our own private dinner. )

Everything is done now, waiting on the sweet potatoes and dressing to finish cooking and we'll sit down for a relaxing dinner with just the two of us in a few minutes!

at least here in CT, both Walmart & Target opened last evening and stayed open all night
