so many heads stuck in the sand. Just vote for Democrats and everything will be fine! No notice that most Democrats running are just conservatives working for oil, banks/insurance cos, communications, coal, big ag, etc just like the rethugs.

4. No, they don't. They still assume they can hold the White House in '16 "by default".

And that's really all they care about...they don't want to ever retake the House or the Senate(the way they ran this fall's campaign, a campaign they clearly threw, a campaign that did not have to be lost)proves that.

They get paid anyway.

And they can get even better paying jobs in industry when they leave their current positions.

We keep telling each other that they'll see the error of their ways when the Dems lose, but maybe they're only in it for the money.

I still remember all the years after '94 when the Beltway types basically didn't seem to WANT us to retake the House or the Senate.

Chuck Schumer: Passing Obamacare in 2010 Was a Mistake

6. Change is always going

to start at the bottom. We, the Dem Wing are "the bottom".

They (dem leaders) don't listen to "us" because we still believe if we yell a bit louder, more often and gain larger numbers to participate in yelling AT them, somehow "they'll hear us". They didn't "hear us" because they don't have to. So we abstained voting in 2010/2014...foolishly thinking "They'll hear US now".
So far, hows that working out? Schumer comes out and tells us all that the ACA was a Mistake after an earlier remark that (paraphrasing) "The Left is as Bad as the Tea Party"? And Rahm Emanuel stating (paraphrase) "The left is fkg retarded"?

Our choices are between the GOP who will Jerk the rug out from beneath Immediately OR vote for Dems who want to do it more slowly. We still "Splat" in the same spot on the floor, regardless.
We're disinterested in voting for "common dems" because Dem Leadership have ignored us and have been too Greedy to represent our values and Too chicken to at least be as honest about their Dis-honesty as the GOP, too accommodating to War, Wall Street Profits, CCPI, Ryans Budget/Austerity and more. The Dems have become too willing to throw all of us under the bus side by side with their Representative Corporate GOP colleagues. Democrats have systematically and consistently failed to come forward to stand for that which we sent them there For!

When are WE going to Stop making excuses to justify a decades long trend?

Votes Matter. Pretty speeches on TV Don't, especially when one hand holds the Mic publicly criticizing a bill and the other hand is on the "YEA" button on an issue We Said No (or Yes) to.

The only time Democrats are interested in the base (us) is during election$. The consequences of that is much of the Base now has zero interest in the “Corporatized Demlican” Party.
Democrats in leadership have “built this” now They own it.

So, if we want the Dem Party at large to Win again on it's (Center Left) values? You're gonna have to join your local Dem Party, become a PCP and/or a Delegate and Then, collectively? We win. They will then have No choice But to listen or go away and form their own bi-partisan "CorpliDem" party. Then they can proudly and openly sport their favorite Corporate Logos. As it is now-the US Chamber of Commerce Flag may as well be flying atop Our Capitol and at a majority of State Capitols.

If nothing else-The Keystone vote allowed Several CorpliDems to expose themselves-but there are many more..
Flush 'em.
The Value of any candidate casually putting a "D" next to their name is Now Zero unless Votes and Actions prove otherwise.

Ignore the greedy fkrs at the Top, get Pissed and Join the Dem Party (work). Thats Where Change Will Happen if it Ever does, imo.

Maybe we should have a forum that is dedicated to getting progressives in positions of influence at the local party level, where I assume potential candidates are filtered out. Maybe we already have such a forum.

I'm surprised how little I personally know about the local party mechanisms. I've always lived in very progressive areas so haven't been too motivated to jump in at that level, probably should anyway though, it really is the only way the party will pay attention to our values. Choosing between corporate-backed candidate one and corporate-backed candidate two certainly isn't getting us anywhere.

one. An Educational Forum where those who are too busy with kids, work, school and/or are just getting involved etc could find out what the heck is going on, instead of MSM "cut/paste/scripted" nonsense "they" want us to believe.

The key to an Informed Electorate is: Educate, Educate, Educate.

19. There are absolutely zero consequences for not listening as long as that continues

it is delusional to expect otherwise, particularly when listening to folks who aren't afraid to set expectations and impose consequences pay so well.

Now does this pain really hurt the offending politicians other than depriving them of the hard sought plum? Of course not, who gets punched in the gut over and over are those who insist on shoving them down our collective throat (yes, along with everyone else) until they change those votes or slink across the aisle in hopes of a bargain as there will be no purchase here.

If we don't vote for Hillary the Republicans will win!

R or D, the corporatists have already won. The problem is, how hard is it going to be to get them out, and what will it take to do it. Revolution? I fear so. Economic collapse leading to massive death and despair? Likely will precede the revolution.
