2. Indeed it does.
Our hypocrisy on display for the world's peoples to ponder.
How inconvenient for US. |

3. I don't think people like wilson or mccolloch have much of a conscious, but I would
love to know what they are thinking when they see this.

5. Wilson just avoided a lengthy prison sentence, got married, and is expecting a child
He did lose his career which is probably the only thing he's pissed off about....
But I seriously doubt he gives a shit about these protests. |

6. Atrocities around the world
Maybe they will have one to protest the thousands of religious jihad murders and abuse against women promoted by the powerful.

7. Do I understand that you are disparaging these protests because the cause isn't
important enough? If I got it all wrong, I apologize.

8. No disparagement here
Just a different focus on problems facing the innocent.

9. Your cleverness with words has me wondering. Are you saying we should
treat "innocent" people more humanly than non-innocent people?

11. We should protect the innocent from those that would do them harm
And prosecute the ones doing harm to innocents. Most of humanity follows this tract.

13. Of course it does qualify
As does protesting the slaughter and abuse of innocents by much larger and menacing threats. All the world is a stage and it needs directors as well as players.

10. Put this in perspective of our foreign policy. How is anybody supposed to take US seriously
when we have a civil war going on in our streets?
No - it's not as bad as the Sunni vs Shia... We're just doing it American style. Elitists vs the rest. The Cops vs People of color. The 1% vs the 99%. Plutocracy vs Social Justice. |

14. I would not say it has risen to the level of 'civil war' just yet. It reminds me more
of 'Bleeding Kansas' of the 1850s, where positions are hardening and the possibilities for democratic compromise are narrowing but where we have not yet crossed that particular Rubicon.
Your words are sobering, though, and definitely food for thought. The rest of the world must take us seriously because we are a nuclear power in decline and thus exceedingly dangerous to the future of the planet and homo sapiens. |

15. Seeing worldwide impact
I will post this again. Ferguson protesters are in 1st place.
