He did lose his career which is probably the only thing he's pissed off about....

But I seriously doubt he gives a shit about these protests.

We're just doing it American style. Elitists vs the rest. The Cops vs People of color. The 1% vs the 99%. Plutocracy vs Social Justice.

of 'Bleeding Kansas' of the 1850s, where positions are hardening and the possibilities for democratic compromise are narrowing but where we have not yet crossed that particular Rubicon.

Your words are sobering, though, and definitely food for thought.

The rest of the world must take us seriously because we are a nuclear power in decline and thus exceedingly dangerous to the future of the planet and homo sapiens.
