Our lovely kitteh Chloe has crossed the rainbow bridge.

She was just 11 years old and passed abruptly after suffering a blood clot that caused paralysis in her back legs.

We adopted her from a local shelter at age 3 as a 4-paw delcawed cat that was kept in a 4 square foot cage, as other cats at the shelter were aggressive and she was at a disadvantage with no claws. She was a bit overweight, very sweet, and took an immediate liking to our son. She would follow him all around the house and always seemed to be within a few feet of him. She lived a plush life and was loved.

Her nickname was "Adventure Kitty" as she ventured into places in our home where none of our previous cats had ever been. Her most uncanny feature was her expressiveness; she'd enter the room, make and maintain eye contact with you while chatting up a storm.

3. I am sorry for your loss, Snarkoleptic.

I sure hope Chloe finds lots of boxes waiting for her over the rainbow bridge. Can't be kitty heaven without them.

She is a sweetheart and I know you will miss her.

Grieve not,
nor speak of me with tears,
but laugh and talk of me
as if I were beside you...
I loved you so --
'twas Heaven here with you.

8. May you run with the Big Cats now, Chloe.

So sorry for your loss. Whenever I lose one I have to remind myself that they had a good life in that they were loved and cared for as long as they were here. I lost my Duchess only about 4 weeks ago. She was only 5 and we found her in a place in the back yard near the lemon tree where she used to lay in the sun. No idea what happened to her. I just got up in the morning, looked across the patio and there she was. I originally found her in a parking lot, dumped and pregnant. I brought her home and she ended up having 2 kittens. We found one home for the both of them. She loved our back yard which has a lot of bushes, trees and flowers. She loved to "play jungle" as we call it, skulking in and out of the flora and fauna. She had a good life. Short but good.

It's a horrible experience to lose a pet. I know from too much experience.

Tonight she's chasing mice in kitty heaven. I know that she'll always have a warm snd fond place in your heart.

PEACE!

19. Thanks to all for the well wishes.

My son has been submitting college applications and we'd recently joked about needing to do weekly Skype sessions from his dorm, since they were so close.
I picked him up from swim practice and gave him the news that she was struggling, it was the longest and quietest 20 minute car ride ever.

He commented that everything seems strange and sad as he was accustomed to feeding her and now there's an emotional void in the pet food routine.

22. I am so sorry for your loss...

I know the pain you are experiencing. I lost my Cleo in 2003 at 11 years after suffering a blood clot as well. She was also paralyzed in her back legs and died in her room overnight. I woke up and found her on her bed, stiff as a board. That was very traumatic for me and it took me quite a while to get over it. I blamed myself for not acting more quickly, but I was not sure what was wrong with her. She also had hip dysplasia, and that can also cause similar symptoms.

Chloe was a beautiful kitty and you gave her a good life. I'm so sorry that you lost her at a relatively young age. My thoughts are with you as you grieve the loss of your fur baby and I wish you peace in the coming days.

31. Don't blame yourself.

Mrs. Snark here. You shouldn't feel bad at all. According to the vet, there is nothing that could have been.done that would have led to any sort of meaningful recovery. The numbness sets in quickly, so she did not suffer. And she got to pass at home with you. That's how it should be.

24. Oh, I'm so sorry you've lost your sweet Chloe.

You gave her a wonderful loving home--bless you for that! My Gracie-cat crossed the bridge a week ago today, so I know the tears and empty heart that goes along with the loss. I'd like to think Gracie was waiting to greet Chloe as she crossed the bridge. Imagine the adventures they will share!

I was super close to him and think I will have him on my mind forever and hope I see him on the other side, if he still wants to see me. He kind of hated me for making him a house cat.

29. very sorry about your chloe

but she had a good life and though you will miss her terribly - you will meet again. i fiercely believe this. thank you for being so good to her and giving her a good home with lots of lovins. i could cry with you.

our kitty is also named chloe. she was rescued from a dumpster in tempe, az. she was eating pork rinds dumped out on the ground. she is 15 yrs old now and we nearly lost her over a year ago. she enjoys fancy feast classic these days - but her favorite foods are anything with grease, fried chicken, and pepperoni pizza. although she only rarely gets a few morsels because we cook at home for the most part.

have fun chasing butterflies, sniffing flowers, and rolling around in herb beds, chloe.

Chloe reminds me of my Stinker who died suddenly for no apparent cause at about the same age. I wonder if it's a gray cat thing. It's so heart breaking to lose them. It's been 5 years and I still can't talk about him without choking up. It will get better, but Chloe will always be with you.
