Spotted gas price at $2.19/gallon yesterday here in...

...the DFW Mid-Cities. In Hurst, TX, at the QT at the corner of Airport Frwy & Precinct Line Rd gas was $2.19 per gallon at 5:30pm. Haven't been by there today so don't know if it's changed.

I'm just sorry I already had a full tank!

Gas price check! What's the price of gas where you live and how much has it come down?

I can't wait till it is under 2 bucks. Actually I remember the incredible 90's when it was 90 cents a gallon. I really hope we go back to that. Talk about a raise for the poor and working class.

Every dollar saved on gas is a dollar spent on food, clothes, etc.

Every penny the price drops stays in my pocket and doesn't go to the oil companies.

Yeah, there's a contradiction.

That's pretty fucking fucked up, ain't it?

Anyway, in response to your post: What would be your solution? What would you have us do?

Meanwhile, as GG and CG say above, the less gas costs, the more people who need the money for other purposes have for those purposes. Maybe they can actually pay the electric bill? Maybe they can have enough gas to get to the promising job interview? Maybe they can pay off an outstanding debt? Maybe they can fill that prescription they've gone a week without?

Shit! I don't know how it's a good thing. I do know this: It's ALL pretty fucked up!

Missouri ($2.46). It made me think about the big ole $2.19 on the price sign at the QT last evening as I passed by on Airport Frwy.

Boy, did she get that report wrong. Texas was not even mentioned in the top 3 for lowest price per gallon. But we all know bad reporting (or outright lying) is now standard for TeeVee "news".

Adjusted for inflation, of course, over the years.

Any time the price falls below this, the difference goes into an environmental fund to reduce carbon emissions.

Or, we could just tax the fuck out of it like they do in Europe and Asia.

Either way, build more mass transit and kill the urge to drive gas guzzlers on superfluous trips.
