My blog http://Journeythroughthecortex.blogspot.com is being plagiarized by a right wing site http://www.aafnh.org. They are taking my articles and stripping out copyright notice and reposting the whole article on their site. I've written to them to stop but they are ignoring me.
Is their a quick way to write a dmca letter to cover all the articles plagiarized? There are a lot. I think over 40. I don't know who hosts their site. They have annonymized it. I think it is godaddy.
Also is there any way to get my Posts ranked higher on search engines. Because I have not been promoting my blog very much, I am sinking to the second page after their posts even though I am the original author.
If anyone wants to link to me or help me tweak my pages, I would be very much appreciative.

Good luck dealing with the assholes. You might start posting public comments on their site to annoy them.

(7,170 posts)I am not sure if cloudflare is the original host or not. But it is worth a try at sending a DMCA notice there.

(53,661 posts)Incendiary stuff, like Malkin, use this technique. There is no banner, they don't seem to be linked well. This is possibly to escape being quoted or sued, I don't know. I do understand the 'this website does not give out information' message that my browser makes.
I'm sure someone knows how to get to the right party on this. As I wrote on another post in your thread here, we have members who know a lot about this, do it for a living. And I do think your site might be changed to prevent them doing what they're doing. But once they've published it on their site, I don't know what to do since they are stonewalling you.
Good luck on protecting your work. I find your site very interesting and informative.

A lot of plagiarized content from neuroskeptic blog and FDA .

(53,661 posts)I've seen people fight this before, I hope it works. Often there is a message that everything must be complete with credits added. If they link back, then you will get the money for the link being clicked on.
It appears that more and more this problem has an engineered solution. One cannot copy and paste, if that is what is being done, it page simply won't allow it, and the page can only be shared with the link.
A number of photosharing sites that want to prevent people from taking copyrighted images, will only permit a click on the image to have the link back to the page.
We have computer groups and several members make a living working with websites. I think Amerigo Vespucci works on these things full time.
Good luck.

Hope that helps.
I'm not sure if it will since they are apparently a relaying service.
At the very least, report the site to Cloudflare as this violates their terms of service:
You shall not post, transmit, retransmit, etc. . . .
6. upload, post, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party;
Maybe if I can keep them moving

(65,502 posts)and specifically credited to you. That isn't plagiarism--in fact, it's the opposite of plagiarism. If you don't want links to your site, I assume you can tell them to stop linking, but why would you want to do that?
Or is this linking and crediting a brand new development in response to your complaints to them?

(9,644 posts)you may be able to configure your server to prevent it from working. Talk to your hosting service. Explain that someone is scraping your site for content and that you want block them. You may be able to do it by blocking their IP address but you will probably have put up some kind of a firewall or change some server settings.

Prayer for Peace and Global OM
Graph from the Princeton Center of Noetic Studies that conducted a study of a global prayer for peace in an attempt to quantify and somehow prove that parapsychology is real. Just thought it was amusing.

And now on 'aafnh':

March 25, 2012:

Notice those two posts were claimed as by 'Scott0' and 'Young0'. They are actively trying to make it look like original material.
And cap's 'about me' turns up constantly on the other site:
http://journeythroughthecortex.blogspot.co.uk/p/about-me.html
They steal from other people too:
http://neuroskeptic.blogspot.co.uk/2010/07/its-like-cocaine-but-no-fun.html
http://www.aafnh.org/news/its-like-cocaine-but-no-fun.html , credited to 'Martinez6', as is this:
http://www.aafnh.org/news/heal-the-pink-ribbon-campaigns-dirty-little-secret-dr-wm-campbell-douglass-ii-m-d.html
but that was taken from:
http://truehealthistruewealth.blogspot.co.uk/2010/10/heal-pink-ribbon-campaign-dirty-little.html
I suspect the entire site is plagiarised.
And the links you saw? That was a post plagiarised from cap too:

(7,170 posts)I couldn't complain. If they were following the same policy as DU, I'd have to endure it. That is, if only 4 paragraphs were taken with a link.
The linking and crediting is new. I did complain to them by posting a couple comments about it. But they have ignored me and started moderating complaints so that nothing shows up.
Also, I don't think that they've gone back and corrected all the earlier posts. I have to check.
