Happy Conception Day! It's the most fertile day of the year

Whilst many of us worry about overspending on presents, you may have a bigger expense to consider in the run-up to Christmas.
According to birth rates, we are currently hitting the most common time of year to conceive. Most babies are born in September, in fact stats from Harvard say September 16 is the most common birth date (in the US at least) which makes this an extremely fertile week. In fact, today, December 11, is said to be the most fertile day of all.

Humans are, technically speaking, available to mate all year round. So why do so many of us seem to conceive in the run up to Christmas? Well, workloads ease off, the weather is cold and probably wet, and we don't want to spend yet more money in the run up to Present Day. I mean Christmas. What's free and warm? Sex.

We're all more likely to have had our inhibitions loosened by alcohol in December, the booziest of all months. Plus social media can always be relied upon to remind you of how other couples are so very #blessed and #humble to be enjoying the festive season with their Big Spoon - you dont want to miss out, do you?

You may see the best side of your partner in the festive season, seeking solace in them from annoying relatives, making shared plans and navigating social obligations as a team. Even putting up a tree becomes a metaphor for building a life together.

Well, so much for doing laundry. I guess I'll have to go out in the wind and rain and find a mate. NYC_SKP Dec 2014 #1
