Oops... There will be a new Top Story on REAL American News Networks, not the Faux-American foreigner-owned one.
This deals with the Citigroup-based gift that was inserted in the Omnibus bill.

The next question is: "What does Hillary Clinton think about what Elizabeth Warren proffered?"

(28,194 posts)She fingered 10 key executive branch officials who are Citi alumni.
All wielding power and influence in the executive branch, including 1600.

She also called out the hypocrisy of both the Republicans and Democrats who object to 'bailouts' but want the taxpayer on the hook for derivatives again--something that caused the last economic collapse just 6 years ago.

(3,580 posts)I have new respect for her. She's tapping into something and lays out clearly what most of us are angry about. Well done

(28,194 posts)You'll hear of her in PoliSci courses, but not in regular everyday primary and secondary schooling.
I'm old enough to have remembered her running as the first Presidential Candidate of Color.
Just an awesome lady. Awesome.

(3,580 posts)She was my 1st hero. I remember being a teenager and watching her on the local news and thinking I want to be like her. It's because of her I really got interested in politics. I remember her announcing she was running for president.

(15,801 posts)by Lindsey Graham, who was astoundingly patronizing and snotty. The way he stood there, swaying from side to side as he belittled Warren, I was wondering if he'd downed a few before coming to the floor. Ick.

(3,580 posts)Fuck him. There was nothing emotional about what Warren said otoh Lindsey sounded like a whining baby man. Fuck him. Go ahead keep telling women they are emotional.

Nothing is going to change with any branch of government.
Big money is entrenched in the system and it no way are those getting paid going to change this.
No Questioning, no passionate speeches, no telling truth to power. Nothing is going to move the money out of government.
The system has been bought, sold, outsourced, downsized, and turned into a circus by business.
I don't think any politician is going to change that now. They know that and are playing their roles to keep the drama alive.
It's broken beyond repair.
