March In Washington Draws Thousands Of Protesters Demanding Justice For All (Pic Heavy)

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/12/13/justice-for-all-washingto_n_6320166.html

At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, hundreds of people began to gather at the Freedom Plaza in Washington D.C. By noon, the crowd had swelled to thousands. The protesters began marching through the nation's capital to call for justice and decry racial discrimination in light of recent deaths of black men at the hands of police.

The crowd rallied through the city demanding "justice for all." The protest was a response to recent decisions by two separate grand juries in Ferguson, Missouri, and Staten Island, New York, which declined to indict the white police officers responsible for the deaths of 18-year-old Michael Brown and 43-year-old Eric Garner.

The Justice for All march was led by the families of police shooting victims, including relatives of Garner, Brown, Tamir Rice, Akai Gurley and John Crawford.

It may have been on the news, but I did not see it at all. You know damn well if it was the Tea Party protesting it would be all over the news.

"What a sea of people," said Lesley McSpadden, the mother of Michael Brown, an 18-year-old killed in Ferguson, Missouri, in August. "If they don't see this and make a change, then I don't know what we got to do. Thank you for having my back."

Thousands march to protest police brutality in New York, Washington and other major US cities

Thousands of Americans took to the streets on Saturday in Washington, New York, and several other cities to protest recent grand jury decisions regarding the deaths of black men at the hands of police officers.

Grand jury decisions in Missouri, regarding the death of Michael Brown, and New York, regarding the death of Eric Garner, have unleashed a torrent of demonstrations across the country and hurled long-simmering tensions over racial injustice and police brutality into the national spotlight.
