Will Cuba start cashing US rent checks for Guantanamo?

Our monthly rent is currently $4,085.00. Cuba has only once cashed one of these checks and that was by mistake.

I find the whole thing quite funny from an accounting perspective. There are accountants here who have to note the outstanding checks and somewhere in Cuba there must be some sort of storage for all these checks.

After either 6 months or 1 years. This certainly will be interesting if most bounce or are not allowed to be cashed.
