Ah, life in the leafy suburbs.....

http://7online.com/news/man-terrorizes-neighborhood-with-hostile-holiday-display/444199/

-snip-
Mention "Christmas display" and most people envision a jolly scene with lights, a few reindeer and maybe an inflatable snowman. But for the residents of Fairley Road in Ross Township, Pennsylvania, it means a beheaded choir and a light up urinating Santa Claus -- the anti-Christmas nightmare displayed by one of their neighbors.

2. If you can see your neighbors christmas decorations from your house, you live way too close

together. Get thee some acreage!

9. I love my "close" neighborhood and our decorations...

it's quite festive. And it ranks pretty high in walkability, with tons of good stuff around.

To each his or her own, eh?

10. Sure, to each his/her own. The OP was about the not-so-nice part of neighbors though. nt

11. Fortunately, I've never had to deal with...

that sort of wackiness from a neighbor, posting signs that so-and-so "ARE DISGUSTING DIRTY LITTLE LIARS."

Yikes.

13. Yikes is right! I prefer no neighbots (that I can see from the house) to taking my chances with

neighbors though. No neighbors = no chance of crazies! Again, to each his/her own!

3. Sounds like it is time for Calvin Snowmen horror. Always good during cold, winter days. updated

Then there's political comment by snowmen

Or merely perverse mischief:

Or... dun, dun, DUNNNN, snow sharks:

And, be careful what one wishes for:

Happy holidays to you all!

Plus, some Calvin inspiration:

Of course, one could always opt for the somewhat more festive holiday marshmallow and cookie media Calvin Snowman horror:

YUMMY!

Zoom in on the signs... the two brothers definitely have issues.

5. Having read the story, it appears another neighbor started the whole thing.

He got angry and has been running this display ever since. And then the neighborhood is trying to use the police and town to harass him, which is probably just feeding it. Here's a thought - Apologize. Defuse the situation.

8. Apologize? Him? I agree w/you but

Somehow I don't think that's in the cards. All he had to do was turn down the lights and instead they got this passive-aggressive 24/7 acting out extravaganza.

12. He leaves it up year round too

sounds like somebody has a bit of an emotional problem.

See if this street view works? From August 2013.

14. "I thought it was a terroristic threat"? for Mary with a knife through her head?

sounds like personal issues between neighbors
